Dr. Alexander grew up in Chesapeake, VA. He attended the University of Virginia where he earned a BA in Biology. He then went on to VCU/Medical College of Virginia School on Dentistry in Richmond, VA. He was awarded a 2yr Navy Scholarship to help pay for dental school. Upon graduating in 1999 he went into the US Navy and served three years as a dental officer. He was stationed on board the USS Theodore Roosevelt CVN 71 when September 11, 2001 happened. His ship participated in Operation Enduring Freedom in the Arabian Sea for six months. While in dental school Dr Alexander met his wife Nicki. Brian and Nicki have three boys Andrew (6), Carter (3) and Eli (16months). Dr Alexander moved to Franklin Co in 2002 and worked in Roanoke for 3 yrs. Dr Alexander started his own practice in 2005 and opened the doors of his new office on June 15, 2005. Dr Alexander and his family love Franklin Co and the people he serves.
Dr. Wellsley Smith: after graduating from dental school in Washinton, D.C., I went into the Air Force as a Captain for two years. I was stationed at Little Rock Air Force Base in Jacksonville, Arkansas. There, I pursued my dream of practicing dentistry as well as getting my pilot license.
Upon finishing my two years with the Air Force, I returned to Maryland and opened my first dental office. I have been in the dental field for over 30 years. After selling my practice and moving to Smith Mountain Lake I decided I was not ready to retire. I am an active member of the American Dental Society, Virginia Dental Association and the local Piedmont Dental Society.
Cosmetic dentistry has been a main focus throughout my dental career as well as Crown and Bridge restorations. I am looking forward to being with Dr. Alexander and his staff in the Rocky Mount, VA, where it will be a joy to continue serving this community as a General Dentist. I share Dr. Alexander's practice philosophy of providing patients with the highest quality dental care in the most gentle and efficient manner possible.
I am married and have two children and six grandchildren.
Debbie is our business manager. Debbie is a 1983 and 2005 graduate of Dabney S.Lancaster Community College with degrees in Secretarial and Administrative Support Technology. Debbie has worked in the dental field for 8 years as a Dental Assistant, Office Manager, and Financial Coordinator. Debbie resides in Franklin County with her husband of 23 years Keith and their 2 daughters.
Mary is our Scheduling Coordinator. Mary is new to the dental field and is enjoying her work very much. Mary is a graduate of Virginia Western Community College and Ferrum College. Mary is a Franklin County resident. Mary enjoys hiking, kayaking and all outdoor activities.
Chris is one of our Dental Assistants. Chris has been in the dental field for 12 years and is currently enrolled in the Dental Hygiene program at Virginia Western Community College. Chris lives in Ferrum with her husband and 2 sons.
Sharon is one of our Dental Assistants. Sharon is a 1995 graduate of Berdan Medical Institute located in Wayne, NJ. Licensed in Radiation Safety. Sharon has enjoyed 13 years of Dental Assisting.
Julie is one of our Dental Assistants. Julie has been with our practice for a little over a year now and loves what she does. Julie loves nature and all outdoor activities. Julie believes that each day is a blessing from above and that we should make them count.
Elizabeth is one of our Dental Hygienists. Elizabeth graduted in 2006 from Virginia Western Community College with a degree in Dental Hygiene.
Amy is one of our Dental Hygienists. Amy graduated in 1998 from Wytheville Community College with a degree in Dental Hygiene. Amy lives in Roanoke with her husband and their 2 daughters.
